Michelle VosterWhen I first met Sam, I was at a crossroads in my life and neither option was looking good. I knew I had to do something to change what was happening in my mind and life.
I contacted Sam after seeing one of her posts on Facebook that really resonated with me and I knew it was now or never.
I have Bipolar type 1 as well as PTSD, anxiety disorder and a few other mental health issues. I have spent more hours in psychiatrist and psychologists office than I care to remember as well as many stints in institutions. I am by no means saying that if you have mental health problems, you should stop seeing your specialists because that would be irresponsible and I still have check in with my psychiatrist.
What I am saying is, life coaching with Sam will give you direction and help you figure out exactly what is it that you want to do with your life. You will also learn to hold yourself accountable TO yourself.
When I got to my first appointment with Sam, I was nervous, the fear of the unknown I guess. I wondered how much I would have to tell her about my past because re-hashing it all really wasn’t top of my “to do” list. Sam didn’t need to hear my past, she wanted to know about the present and where I would like to see myself in the future. In each session Sam does a “check in” with you on how you are feeling at that immediate point in time, how your week has been and what you achieved and then asks what you would like to talk about in that session which I LOVED! She gave me the feeling that I was in control of every session which I had never felt before. She made me aware of small things that I would say about myself that were unkind which I had never noticed before which we worked on and successfully changed my way of thinking about myself.
I saw results from week 1. When I walked out of my very first session, I had hope and could see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I felt like my cross roads that were all doom and gloom were suddenly filled with hope and promise.
Today, 1 year after “graduating” my last session, I can honestly say that I still apply every single tool that Sam gave me into my daily life. I have achieved so many of my goals, my life has changed for the better, I have grown in leaps and bounds and my outlook on life is far more positive. My son and I often talk about the huge impact that life coaching with Sam has had on both of our lives. He has a mom who is happier and easier to engage with, I am a more calm and collected person than I have ever been before and I have rekindled my love for life again. I have been taken off 2 of my medications because I have been so stable and I know for a fact, that life coaching with Sam has got me to the point that I am at today.
Thank you Sam for changing my life*
